History The Millwinders Car Club

Millwinders at Paradise Mesa, Ike Iacano's GMC-powered coupe in the background. The Millwinders usually ran Jack Ewell's fuel Ardun, and Jack usually drove.

 

Millwinders on the road, they often traveled with fellow Redondo Beach club the Drifters.

 

This is where one usually found the Millwinders, racing the Drifters. The Drifters ran a blown flathead, the Millwinders an Ardun...they pretty much split the races between them. From Hot Rod, October 1954.


Jack Ewell's Ardun in the Millwinder's coupe. He invested heavily in injector stacks ---Jack also ran this Ardun in his dragster. When he found out I was running an Ardun, he gave me all his old Ardun plugs and told me how to set up the ignition.

The street scene would of frightened a lot of young girls mothers.

 

I dare one of you guys with meelion dollar Arduns to run injection with stacks like that! It's traditional!

 

I actually built my own, from muffler tubing, welded nuts to each side...only one broke off.

 

Thank you for this site...we Ardun guys are always willing to fill in Ardun stuff.
