From the pictures it looks like a nice chop, inside and out. Man, how nice to not have to do all that work.
I was excited because my '33 pickup was chopped when I got it but upon close inspection it was crooked in both directions and was a bitch to re-chop. They had ground the inside flat and welded a doubler strap on the inside.
How does the frame look? Useable?

That is one nice looking chop and find. Stuff will be coming out of the woodwork as guys who have had this stuff hidden away all those years age out, life happens. I’m sure there was always the dream of getting it back on the road someday but never happened.

  5. Comparing to my brothers stock 5W, this car has just a hair over a 3” chop. It has a story to tell

  6. Congratulations my friend, Having seen a lot of your work in the past I am sure you already know exactly what the car will look like when finished. HRP

  7. A couple weeks ago I was browsing the classifieds on here and saw this 32 Ford pickup for sale down in central OR. It is a tough truck, but sitting on a semi restored 32 chassis. I ended up buying it and swapping chassis with mine. I had to come up with axles to make my frame a roller, which I surprisingly had Almost all of

the bare frame pics are of the frame that came out from under the truck

  8. And last night I loosely put the body on the frame to see what it would look like

That is an impressive rust hole in that PU front fender! I thought I'd seen it all here in salt-land.

Coupe looks real good on the clean chassis.

Thank You for posting your find .
I've found a old hot rod . I've been trying all summer to get the owner to part with it . His had it since he was 16 . He's in his late 70's . It's been in pieces since the late 60's

  19. I have no real update on this car aside from I've picked up a lot of nice parts for it. It is currently in storage as we are moving to a new house. A few months back I did buy a United Pacific complete floor from Riley @Rocket's Hot Rod Garage as he is a dealer. I also literally tripped over an old dropped heavy axle at a guys house picking up some parts a friend who is out of town bought. I mocked this stuff together with a 283 to see what it would look like...I will start a build thread eventually, but with a 4 and 6 year old, shit I ain't near as fast as I used to be :D

Chris, This question must have been asked before, besides your good luck in finding stuff is there more old tin in your area than others? Was there no interest in the old car hobby up there until recent years?

Pardon me, but I do believe he said he "hosed" it off; that makes him a "hoser", and he ain't even Canadian. Something to use the scatter-shield on? I should have drug home all the old tin I've found.
