My comment on this car/Smokey, A very talented man famous for his "Thinking outside the box" this is the pinnacle of that IMO. Bobby Johns, a very good stock racer, Braver than Dick Tracey to sit in this car.
Bill Vukovich lost his life in 1955 in this Indy 500 Car and Lindsey Hopkins had it repaired and in 1956 Jim Rathman put this # 24 in the middle of the Front Row but went out on lap 175 with bad rings and this car led for 3 laps, the car finished 20th
