  4. So, do these "valve covers" go on an engine or a motor? And which is better, the Ford or Chevy? Discuss..... sorry, couldn't help myself :D;)

So did the owner and me but the chassis had been clipped to a Nova front end and we couldn't fit headers where the upper control arms were mounted.

The 427 SOHC and Chrysler Hemis are definitely engines, some of the other smaller stuff are probably just motors. Does that make sense?:D

  9. But that 427 SOHC is made by The Ford Motor Company

I think sexy valve covers should look something more like this:

You just reminded me, throw in the Boss 429 as an engine as well.

While I wouldn't call them sexy, Canadian Pontiac small block Chev valve covers would be desirable. The Studebaker version, maybe.

I didn't think motors have valves to cover.
So, is the Chevy the pony motor for the hemi engine in this dragster?

I think the Weiand 265/283 early valve covers are one of my favorite aftermarket.

Here’s an Akron-Hed for a Model T Ford, made by Harry Halverson (Motors by HAL) in 1926. Basically a hemi head conversion. They didn’t have a valve cover originally, so here is what I made up to do the job
