Today I drove my 1952 Mercury at a local hillclimb event. A friend of mine edited a video of this. This hillclimb is for cars that started production before 1965 (example: a 1967 Mustang can participate, as it is "identical" to a 1965 Mustang) Rune Waltoft from Norway Sent fra min S52 via Tapatalk
I doubt that was a flathead Mer engine...........IF it was, it sure sounded healthy. Looks like a lotta fun. 6sally6
You had me holden on for dear life ! Think I saw big foot standing on the side of the road in that 3rd run !!!!
It was very exiting! In this hillclimb, I was competing against very many small european cars. I ended at place 21 of 25, but I think that my car with BF Goodrich Silvertown 7.60x15 bias ply and 1800kg weight, lacked traction and was too heavy to compete against the other cars Rune Waltoft from Norway Sent fra min S52 via Tapatalk
This hillclimb was in Europe, Norway, twenty kilometers south of Oslo Rune Waltoft from Norway Sent fra min S52 via Tapatalk
I must admit that the old flathead was gone before I bought the car fifteen years ago. This car has a 351W and FMX transmission from 1975. I belive that this engine outputs about 180hp and a very nice exhaust tone Rune Waltoft from Norway Sent fra min S52 via Tapatalk
I can assure you that it will cause problems, as the steering box has no servo and it is six rounds from side to side Rune Waltoft from Norway Sent fra min S52 via Tapatalk
Thanks! I talked to one of the people who arranged this hillclimb and he invited me to participate in a time trial on a gokart track in the start of May 2021... Maybe I will participate and share a new video Rune Waltoft from Norway Sent fra min S52 via Tapatalk
I belive you are refering to my woods of Wonderbaum? I can assure you that they are more than ten years old and don't smell anything anymore. But when they were new, you could hardly breathe in the car Rune Waltoft from Norway Sent fra min S52 via Tapatalk
