    I'm with ya there!
Another all time favorite of mine is the other chrome oem 327 valve cover.

Lincoln covers on a SBC, I fail to see the point. If you want a Y-block build one. JMO.

I had heard that Thickston made them for boat racers to keep the plugs and wires dry.

Different for sure, I wonder who designed them. That is a wooden pattern for use in the foundry.

YES!!! I love her "valve covers"; sure like to see what's under them valve covers. I really love brown eyed, brunettes, (why I marries one!) and I'm pretty sure she qualifies. I do like the more recent, fuller, eyebrow look, as compared to the plucked to almost nothing look. And thanks, now I have to wait a while before I can leave the house, and I have things to do. I am Butch/56sedandelivery.

Flatheads don’t have valve covers unless they’ve been converted to OHV.

She looks like she'd have you begging for mercy.
I recently learned the earliest Vette covers had 9 fins instead of 7. Extra sex!

  10. I’ve always been a fan of the understated simplicity of the Plymouth HEMI valve covers. Especially the fairly uncommon factory chrome version.

Don't have pictures to post but I think the stock 390 FE lighting bolt valve covers on my 64 Marauder because they have Mercury stamped in them instead of powered by Ford are cool. If I could find another set I might consider changing out the finned Cal custom valve covers on the 428 in my 51 with chrome plated versions. Larry

upload_2020-8-30_21-56-39.jpeg For understated elegance, I always liked my Packard valve covers Stock covers powder coated black with chrome fender script attached. upload_2020-8-30_16-53-14.jpeg

On a flathead they do cover the valves. On a overhead valve engine they really should be called rocker covers.

  19. A few years back, I saw these ladies for sale and the thought crossed my mind that they might look sort'a cool on some chrome or polished valve covers (SBC type). They were brass, so easy enough to polish up the high relief and leave a bit of patina. If they were cheaper, I may have grabbed 'em. But at $400 for the pair, I just couldn't pull the trigger.
They definitely would have gotten some attention...... but maybe some head shakin', too.

Put those 9-fin Corvette valve covers on your Hot Rod and expect the restorers to start screaming! LOL

Pre-production Boss 429. These ones hit the master cylinder so they went to the more familiar style.
