But hands down most fun truck I have had so far was this 48

Thanks! Pretty simple setup.. 302/aod aftermarket mustang 2 front... stock frame and an s10 zr2 blazer rear to give it 4 wheel disc....

A buddy had built it.. another buddy bought it and painted it.. drove it daily for about 6-7 years... I bought it and drove it daily for about 3 and sold it to a guy in Wisconsin and he drove it back..

Wish I still had it but had to sell it to buy my buddies roadster when he passed few years ago.

I a inline six guy . It came with a early 289/C4 but I have 1) Chevy 250 six and trans Auto or standard and a 240 with all 300 internals/C4. I love the manual trans . So kicking around which one . At first I was gung ho on a passenger car 4 speed or maybe a T5 but thinking an SM465 may be an option for towing.

  22. Persistence pays off. This truck sat in an old timers driveway untouched for years. I would stop every couple years and chat him up. I asked about buying it but kept hearing he wasn't ready. 14 years after the first visit he finally said it was for sale! I didn't even haggle with his price. I just paid the man! Someone clearly loved this truck at one point. The paint while faded was at one point in time a very nice metallic maroon and even the tailgate script is done in gold leaf. It has a 350/350 combo in it that I got running rather quickly with a new battery and pouring some gas down the carb. The carb is completely frozen so it will need a rebuild or be replaced.

Not 100% sure of my future plans. Origin;y I was going to tear it down and do a full rebuild, body/paint/interior... everything. But the more I look at the body and paint that it has I'm thinking of just doing all the mechanical and just driving it as is cosmetically. Then if i ever get bored with the look I can rip into it and do it up.

IMG_0384.JPG I got a F2 for the express bed so I can haul bikes with. It’s also wider than 4 feet so 4x8 sheets can lay flat.

  28. Shop truck, not just for hauling parts. Sometimes you gotta stop and get some fresh picked water melon! :)
