I just picked up two 5’ pieces of marsden mat for ramps so It should be ready to go by this weekend. Took a bunch of rustolium I had laying around and threw it all together and came up with this ugly mauve color but what the hell the metal is protected. Good theft deterrent no one in there right mind would steal a mauve trailer! Hahahaha!!!!! BF289855-D3DC-4AD7-8CF9-26A0FA50AD17.jpeg A9F21038-A0D9-4FA6-B2B4-4C2D6F1E4BBA.jpeg

Took the car up to the local short track in Sturgis S.d. To help pack the track. I did a few hot laps at intermission although I would call it warm laps because I wasn’t going fast enough to be considered hot laps. Hahaha! Looks good on the track. Were you able to hang the back end out a bit?

It felt like it but if it did it wasn’t much. I didn’t want to spin or worst hit the wall in front of a crowd. I did get a video sent to me but I don’t have a way to load it on the H.A.M.B.

What a score today! A few weeks ago I ran into an older hotrodder I know. He said I had to come up to his place because he had something I could probably use. So this morning I ran up and paid him a visit. This is what he had for me! 4BA1B7A5-F582-48ED-A8E1-04B69364DA1F.jpeg 0A18A97E-B38A-49ED-AA98-F3F02FA7F3A7.jpeg 8BF4FCBE-D7A0-489B-ABA3-5CDFE07293C4.jpeg So I’m really jazzed when I see this finned head and I ask him what he wants for it but he doesn’t give me a number but says let’s look around at his cars and parts. After about an hour and a half of looking at some really kool shit I ask him again and he says it yours I’ve had it for almost fifty years and I want to see it on a motor and not on a shelf! GOD DAMN I’m a lucky bastard today! Thank Kenny!

Hope it's a good one. Mine leaked like aseive between the fines. Guess they had qc problems. You can test it by mixing up some colored water or dish soap and water, filing the head duct taping the waterpassage holes and temp gauge fitting then petting your compresses air gen at about 5 psi to the heater supply, and watching for colored water or bubbles. It worth doing before installing. Mine with the failed repairs hangs on my wall. Wishing good luck, don't mean to pee on your wheeties, but check it. I got mine with a Fenton intake, trans, Genny, starter, voltage regulator, a couple of wheels and some trim pieces for 500 bucks 15 years ago.

Did about 20 minutes on the polisher for the top side and a few hours with a wire brush and sandpaper on the bottom side getting the carbon off. All threads have been chased and pipe plugs installed just waiting for my head gasket to show up. EFF9B0F9-D61E-453F-B0F6-24DDA78AF437.jpeg FBB0E82D-4636-48E3-8F4E-06998E5F9BB9.jpeg

It’s alive again. Got it fired last night ran it for about 10 minutes to build some heat and check for leaks. Tonight I will run thru the head bolts and
    re torque.
Can’t wait for a warm day so I can go out for a test drive and see if the head actually added a bit of poop or if it’s just eye candy. 721A4AD7-D123-46AE-85F7-6DA1947FCAC7.jpeg
