  7. Nicest 5window I have ever seen. Only had it a short time. Made some improvements then sold it. Just could not chop that top.

So I thought that I would search this thread for ideas on front licence plate placement.
I can’t believe how few actually have them showing. Is a front plate not required in all states ?

Hello lm14, I've seen your 5w on line before & was curious if those snap shots taken at the Crawford co. fairgrounds in Harlan Ia. ? While returning to Omaha with my just purchased 32 sport coupe several years ago we chose to take the road less traveled as the car was built in 89 & spent a lot of idle time in Ankeny Ia. At any rate we watched for an interesting back drop for a photo shoot to document the purchase to some degree, such as a period gas station, work shop, frame structures etc ; having passed several such choices & wishing we had stopped, approaching dark storm clouds hastened our pace & all was forgotten with a concerned eye on the sky. Approaching our home turf just 60 miles or so away we were soon to run short on things of a rural nature; however as we approached Harlan the clouds parted & we opted to take a few shots at the track with the entrance sign as our back drop. I'm glad we did so, as in years past we on occasion frequented the track where so many of these little warriors did battle, a bit of a grim reminder that many of these coupes & sedans were destined to an end with but few to little surviving.

Crawford County is Dennison. Shelby County is Harlan. These pictures were actually taken at the Davis County Fairgrounds in Bloomfield. I actually grew up in western Iowa (Atlantic) and used to go to the races at Harlan and Dennison in the 60’s and 70’s though!

When I got the opportunity to design the new race track at Bloomfield I actually drove back to Harlan and measured the track there to see how it would fit in the area we had to work with here. Kind of used Harlan as my design with a few changes.

Just perfect. The older I get the more I like the "tiquer" look. I have 39 std that could be this ones brother. I sure liked the Coleman cp but this one really catches the eye.
