Okay, so nothing against the poster but I don’t understand people. Super nice car with great looking interior, obviously going for a traditional theme and then we get to the steering wheel????????[IMG]

Like I’ve heard it said before “it’s your car so do what you like” but sometimes I’d sure like to interview guys and be like “so what’s going one here? Is it 1950’s fuzzy dice meets 90’s grant steering wheel and had a tuck n roll baby????”

SAM_0348 2.jpg Bought this '55 Delray from the original owner in '14. Took out the I6, Powerglide and installed a '57 283, Richmond 5-speed, 3.08 gears, drop spindles, disc brakes, 3" Global West leafs. All original interior, needs body and paint but is a great driver. SAM_0291.jpg

If it were me, I'd stick a Vette rosewood wheel on there.....

Front wheels are GM Rally 6"x15, tires are BFG Radial TA 215-65x15. Rears are GM Rally 8"x15, tires are BFG Radial TA 235-70x15. Hub caps are from Summit for Rally wheels and look like '55 stockers.

that really gets me too, missed it by that much... I often wonder if someone didn't buy a bitchin period correct car and then add their own touches.... era mixing really ruins it for me

  18. I'm in complete agreement with you about era mixing in an otherwise great car. It boggles the mind. I'm sure there are any number of reasons for it. I most assuredly wud have questioned the owner, but he wasn't around and I had no idea who it was. If it was a case of cost or an unavailable part, I think the stock wheel painted body color wud have been so much better than what was used. If I come across the car and owner in the future, I will certainly inquire and report my findings.
