At the risk of humiliation I am posting my country boy ways of making sheet metal take a shape to match my hood that I’m trying to save. About 5 passes one way and 3 90 degrees the other way. If you look closely at the pic on the floor you can see the edges curling up.
You would make my grandfather very proud! (At the off chance you might get offended, this is the highest compliment I can offer.)
No humiliation there! It did get a good laugh out of me though. If it works, it works! Rock On with your bad self down there in West. What kind of car is that, anyway?
Why the hell not? Just make sure to sweep the floor well so you don't press in a bunch of pimples. That's my kind of problem solving.
as bob said clean the floor perfectly as it will be impossible to replicate if you loose the stone if floor not spotless I was gong to say that was using your head but wheel is more like it
My grandmother was born on a wagon train, her father was Wagonmaster. She always said, "If ya can't do...Make do." BTW, that gorgeous '56 Vic is worth it! Nice job 'crowning'.
Ok, that made me laugh out loud !!! One wheel English wheel , I wasn’t sure what to expect .... but I wasn’t expecting that !!! So damn dumb , it’s absolutely brilliant!!! good on you for solving a problem with what you had on hand !
That looks like something someone from West Station would do. Where the is a will and a want to there is a way though.
I love low buck solutions to problems. The mentality of some would suggest that unless its purpose built or store bought it won't or can't work. So hats off to you and your home brew machinery !!
