At the risk of humiliation I am posting my country boy ways of making sheet metal take a shape to match my hood that I’m trying to save. About 5 passes one way and 3 90 degrees the other way. If you look closely at the pic on the floor you can see the edges curling up. Find something thin mat/rubber, place underneath panel... It'll speed up the process

No humiliation there! It did get a good laugh out of me though. If it works, it works! Rock On with your bad self down there in West. What kind of car is that, anyway?

Why the hell not? Just make sure to sweep the floor well so you don't press in a bunch of pimples. That's my kind of problem solving.

Put a thin sheet of rubber under it to get it working quicker

My grandmother was born on a wagon train, her father was Wagonmaster.
She always said, "If ya can't do...Make do."

BTW, that gorgeous '56 Vic is worth it! Nice job 'crowning'.

That looks like something someone from West Station would do.

Where the is a will and a want to there is a way though.

I used to refer to my work as “blacksmithing” but realized a blacksmith might take offense!

I love low buck solutions to problems.

The mentality of some would suggest that unless its purpose built or store bought it won't or can't work. So hats off to you and your home brew machinery !!
