Event Coverage 2020 Street Rod Nationals - I risked my life for these spectacular pics!

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by the-rodster, Aug 11, 2020.

  1. I went to my first rod run in about 1972 with my '32 pickup. I realized immediately that I didn't own a great car and never would be able to afford one.

  6. Thanks for the great pics. While you were risking your life I got to spend my weekend delivering parts to Akebono in Glasgow KY.

seen your truck power parked . great job looks great hope to get back to work on mine . do not know how I missed the 39 convert in the swap meet . guy that used to own it had kept since the early 50's.had got to talk to him a couple times would see him drive it from time to time. he told me he put the 40 column shift in so his girl could sit next to him it is a real time capsule. thanks for photos

  18. Nice photos.
I risked my live also. At my age, I'm in the high risk group. It appears that the crowds didn't affect me. I went Friday only, so it has been 14 days since I was there and I feel fine.

Thanks for the pics - had to pass this year. Wonder how attendance was?

  20. 7,402 were registered. Attendance Friday appeared to be way down. A lot of empty spaces and few people in the exhibit buildings. Large field area south of the swap meet was under construction so hardly any parking there. Areas between buildings and Kentucky Kingdom looked only slightly less than past years.

  21. Now I get it, my first thought was that your t-shirt was not appropriate. Thanks for the pics.
