I decided to change up the look of my truck a bit. I’ve had these old Cragar slots almost as long as I’ve had the truck. I’m pretty happy with the results. The steelies are in storage for the time being. I’ll swap em back when I get tired of the slots.

  5. I like the wheels but IMHO the white letter tires distract. HRP

  6. .....Would look so much better with some blackwalls with a nice, clean sidewall. Just my dumb opinion.:)

  7. I am a big fan of slots and love the pickup  (happen to be building one like it with my son now), but have to agree about the white letters distracting some from the overall look. However, also not my pickup so my opinion is just that... ;)

Like it with the slots, and the white letters from that same time period go together well.

  14. Year's ago I purchased a set of Goodyear wide oval white letter tires, I liked the tread and the profile of the tires but when I purchased them I told the salesman turn the white letters in.

He noted on the work order to do what I ask, when They pulled the car around to the front of the building , I turned around and looked at the salesman and I said the white letters are showing and he said yeah, they look great on your car.

I handed him the receipt and as plain as day in his handwriting it was noted white letters in, he said drive the car a week or so and if you still don't like it bring it back and we will switch them around.

I looked him square in the eye and said, "Who is going to pay me for advertising your tires?"

He then called the installer out front and told him to switch the tires, I liked it much better. HRP

I, too, think it's a little "busy" with the letters, but tires don't last forever anyway.
