I have a 39 sedan delivery and would like to know what year fenders and hood are interchangeable with mine!? Can't seem to find anyone who knows
The 39 Delivery body is the same as the 37 and 38 as is the chassis so, both of those years will fit.
Thank you for your help, was hoping to put a 39 deluxe nose on it but not sure what would have to be done to make that work!
All '37s, '38 Standard & DeLuxe and '39 Standard sheet metal will all fit and match your hood & cowl lines...but there are a couple of hood hinge mounting differences between those years...so may not be an EXACT bolt on...but easy enough to overcome. The '39 Deluxe sheet metal is a whole different design, especially the curve of the hood on the sides of the cowl.
I beg to differ on the '37 front sheetmetal fitting a '39, I have a '37 two-door and a 39 four-door I'm cutting up, the area where the fenders bolt on to the cowl and the size and shape of the cut-out for the hood sides is totally different between the two cars. Frankly, this is a question for "Ford Barn".
Weedburner 40 is correct. The '39 delivery was not updated to the larger body and is the same as '37 &38.
I stand corrected, when I looked on the internet, some of the sedan deliveries had the "hawknose" '38 front sheetmetal and some the '40 style sheemetal. Thanks for setting me straight. Looks like if he changed the cowl side panels he could use '39-'40 passenger car front sheetmetal.
