That trunk will give you a place to keep your 10' stepladder when you're not using it! By the uber-clean looks of the car you'd think the photo was taken when the car was relatively new.

You have to know your skills when these mods are on the plate and I suspect this is something you have as a major skill in your basket of all things Fabrication...Congrats and Awesome Mopar...they wear Hotrod and Custom well...Get those posts coming in...;)

Bravo on the great barn find. These MOPARS from the 40's are true " Art Deco " works of art. Fat asses and fat fenders rule !

Don't let anybody give you any static about that cool Fulton visor, that is the way you found the car and its obvious the original owner liked it also. While it may slightly detract from the over all shape and style of the cars lines, in my opinion its really cool!

I rebuild the front end and install the drop knuckle spindle (-3" )

    The stance are allright

But I have to modify the steering linkage for a correct clearance with the chassis

And the brake plate touch the lower triangle when I turn the wheels , now i know why fatman Say : disc brake conversion mandatory with drop spindle

It's obvious you have a nice car. I'm certain you're going to make it nicer. Keep on keeping on. I'm going to be here, watching your progress.

You may have just convinced me to use a modified stock front suspension in my 41 DeSoto!

    Looking good!
