Hot Rods 32 with Model A spring

I have a 32 ford roadster hiboy. It has 1961 283 Chevy (hamb correct) 4 speed. It has a quick change with a Model A spring with 9 leaves. I need to try to soften the rear suspension if I can. Any ideas as to what leaves to remove?

 

Short ones are stiffest.

 

Model A roadsters came stock with seven springs. Try that.

 

That happens to be what I am going to try. I am removing the third from the bottom and the 3 from the top. I will find out what happens.
