Technical Did early ‘60’s Buick’s use X frame?

    Did a google search and cot a combination of pictures of perimeter and X frames. So, which style did they have? Thanks

    Interesting, I would have thought the full size Buick’s would have had the x frame like the Chevy/Pontiac in 59/60 but it looks like they had something else. The Rivera did as mentioned above.

    What I am kinda trying to figure out is if a nailhead motor will don’t in the X frame of a Chevy.

    I would guess what ever automatic comes with it. I would try and use the SP400 or what ever the desirable one is.

    I see. Hopefully someone will chime in. I have a 60 Pontiac with an X frame but it is stick. It came with a short 3 spd. I’m not sure what they did for automatic.

    I had a 64 Belair with an frame.I hated it,couldn't run exhaust,didn't drive/handle well.If you gotta have one buy a good one from art morrison or roadster shop & order it for the engine & suspension you plan on using.JMO
