Hej Helge. Thanks and I agree 100% with you :) The Silver Painting made the different. The black painting was a more a "work in progress color".

What an amazing production, Video, and car. Excellent execution.
    Thanks for sharing.

  13. Kind if makes you think of this statement, "if you can't beat 'em outlaw 'em"

I am not sure that the Lincoln V12 made its way into racing. I do know that a lot of the factories were using endurance races as a way to promote their designs and sell cars. That may be a place to look. That is at least where I would start.

Do official endurance records like FIFA, Guinness etc count?

Well! Historical Racing in Nordics use FIA and Appendix K for approving Prewar cars for racing.

The other Lincoln V12 powered car (that I'm aware of) that raced before WWII is the Atalanta. Earlier Atalantas were 4cyl powered, but in 1938 Atalanta brought out their 4.3, powered by the Lincoln V12. They only produced seven before the war began, but at least one was raced by a Miss Wilby. Motorsport magazine mentioned her (and the Atalanta) in its coverage of the 1939 Lewes Speed Trials. Here's a pic of it competing at a Junior Car Club members day race at Brooklands, 8 July 1939:
