    take care of yourself, and yours - never know what cards life will deal you - keep us updated - just looked at update on fire and says that it has spread to 10,000 acres with no major containment

    I've hung around the house last night ready to leave at a moment's notice and seems the fire went to the north and avoided my place.still no containment as of yet.gonna stay home and see what happens today.thanks all

    SCTA president Bill Lattin's home was VERY close to the start of the fire and he was on the salt getting it ready for the racers and spectators. A bunch of phone calls to kids to grab this and that that filled up more than one car along with animals. Luckily it burned around his place.
    Thanks to all the Fire Fighters and Support Crews that saved many a place!

    fire sucks. my brothers 1880's house and barn are about 100 yards behind where this was taken. Butte fire, 2015. if you look at the Cal Fire map at the time the fire pretty much encircled his town and they saved all the buildings...
