Making a 3 door delivery out of a ratty 4 door Master. Tail lights are aftermarket repro 39 Chev sedan.

Nice photo of the late, Lee Bright's sedan delivery. He had modified this sedan delivery with all stuff we would like on any build. He was a big bear of a guy and still fit into the chopped sedan delivery. It sounded as powerful as it looks. PURE CAL RAKE STANCE... for sure.

Some time after the photo shoot, the sedan delivery rolled and during recovery, he built another sedan delivery to help him move along.
He was a pure craftsman in his builds.

A rumor has it that the wrecked Model A Sedan Delivery was recovered, moved to the SF Bay area and is being or has been resurrected to its old status... Anyone in the SF Bay area have any information? It is one classic look for a chopped, Ford Sedan Delivery that we would all like to see again.

 

Is it true the '40 sedan delivery got totaled somewhere around Eureka, Calif. ? In late "70's ?

I am not sure about the 40 sedan delivery after I photographed it and gave Lee color prints mounted in wood frames and just large prints. We lost touch with each other and the hot rod lives. But, it was the 29 sedan delivery that got wrecked and that is the one supposedly brought back from the wrecking yard and into some hot rodder's garage in the SF Bay. It is supposed to be rolling around the Bay Area.

As far as that 40 Sedan Delivery was concerned, my wife like it so much that she wanted to sell our Red, 327, SBC 1940 Ford Sedan Delivery and make an offer on that yellow one. Ours had the stuff, full upholstery, A/C, great handling and reliability. But Lee Bright's Yellow 40 Sedan Delivery was so much higher up in quality and build parts.

It became a moot point as our family just increased in size and the two person sedan delivery was not built for three. Time was making us move on in family life matters...
