Mail the stamps to JW. They can stick them to the side of the rails to at least cover the shipping. Then you can shellac over them, ala' Jakeoupage.

I bet there is a whole generation that knows nothing about that red Model A Phaeton!:) New goal is finding $800.00, and if it takes 800 one dollar stamp sales that is just fine, it is my new challenge, I'm in a far better mood than when I started the motivation thread. Bob

^^^^ Chassis jig on wheels, Bob? That's what I'd be roughing those '32 rails on...
Those quarters are coming along nicely!
Some things are moving out of my shop now, I can see a wall that I couldn't remember putting up. Musta been me, there wasn't a shop here before...

We had a storm come through on Tuesday August 4th, lost power around 3:00 in the afternoon, just came back Saturday August 8th evening around 7:30. Thanks to some crews that cane down from Quebec, Canada we have power again. Bob

  6. Bob still no power here, send a few of those Canadians up here.

It's electric, easy peasy. Bob should be able to fix it.

Doug, Bobby said all the generators running in the neighborhood reminded him of trying to go to sleep in the Hershey Swap Meet at night.

I sure am going to miss it. They are still planning for the Sat. show. Not sure how. The new building is supposed to be finished by Oct.

By now most of you know I never threw much away growing up, and have decided to part with some stuff to fund the Roadster. Think I'd found the Roadster body before sending in the Bazooka Joe gum wrappers and two quarters for the baseball pennants. s-l1600 (1).jpg
Their eBay sale covered a needed crossmember and shipping. :)

As I mentioned in my post Bob, when you want something, sometimes you just find a way to make it work. We all have cool stuff....but some of it is just stuff. It's cool, old and hard to part with, but recycling it to buy something you can use is so much better. Glad to see your making progress, congrats.

It's here! Fits right in with the rest of the stuff. Few cuts here & there and it is ready to be flattened. Bob

  17. Is that a candelabra or a hood ornament? The Coleman Coupe had a 34 rear cross member to get the rear down.

If it sells it could be a Left or Right '32 Frame rail. Bob

I grew up in Milwaukee.I went to a little Catholic school for a my first few years. Every morning before school, we'd say a prayer or 2,say the pledge of Allegiance, and sometimes sing the Star Spangled Banner. I was probably in the third grade before I learned we were NOT singing about Milwaukee when we sang the part "Home of the free and land of the Braves".

^^^^^^^^ Now that's funny. Eight years of Catholic school for me and electricity was never mentioned once.

As a non catholic I have always wondered why all the kids in your schools were entrusted to nuns that never had any experience with kids. My first three teachers had grandchildren. And I turned out OK.

I've been penned up too long. I have all the easy projects done in the shop and too lazy to tackle the hard ones. Besides, Wagon Train will be on in a few.

Interesting thought Doug. It did seem some were frustrated and mean. I did have one jewel of a nun for first grade.Even then,I wondered why she wasn't somebody's mom.As an adult I searched for her to share my memories of her. It turned out she had already passed away .However, she left the off being a nun and married a widower who had 2 teenage daughters. She helped him finish raising those girls.
