Hope the Australian owner (possibly hamber), doesn’t mind me posting, but just too neat not to bring others attention.
Amazing car, one of my favourite photos.

what else has been done, - please post what you have that is different to original…….

My headlamp bar. 32 center bar with modified 28/29 feet mounting to the frame horns.

I don’t know if they are cool or not but I like the look so it works for me.

They are 'rare'. Look at their construction. They were cut from a large extrusion, 20 ft. long. They cut as many as they could, and were sold out before the run was completed. This was the only 20 ft. extrusion of this type ever made, so if you snoozed? You loozed. (loozed??!?)
And that's what makes them so rare!
But everybody wants 'em...Look at how cool they made Tom McMullen's Phaeton look. ? ? Beuhler?

the guy I bought them from must not have thought they were rare. I paid only 10 or 15 bucks for them. :)
they sold in a couple hours for a buy it now of $100.00:D

Still a good bit of machining etc. after being cut off the extrusion. Look at the bosses, and the fact that the parts taper a bit. I wonder if that was a fortuitous use of an extrusion meant for something else entirely? In my line of work I encounter all kinds of weird aluminium extrusions, usually much smaller but not always. I've often wondered what you could make out of some of them.

Extruding dies are expensive but the point where they pay for themselves can sometimes be much lower than one would expect.

    Stumbled across this photo tonight.
Although obviously not a headlight stand, it may inspire someone…….

IMG_4569.JPEG Now if I could figure out a turn signal/park lite that would integrate with these stands I'd be set.

  26. Offie headlight stands with Arrow headlights will get you a timeless hot rod look as compared to the trendy big lights, out front, and down low modernistical look.

I've shown these before . I had a couple broken model A front fender braces . I made cups for the headlight bolt and welded and polished them .

I know I broke the (why buy it for $20 when you can make it for $100) rule but I like these stands from speedway.
