...Mcmullen's?...I'm so used to seeing it with Mags...but I like this more vintage offering...

Update...Tom M's...no it was not...Dwain Rogers is the man behind this inspired...this was shared by @KKrod with this clarification...it's really no surprise of how many were inspired by Hotrods throughout this fantastic era we celebrate...

It looks sorta 30/31 of one of the 3 brands of Mopar...perhaps someone in the know can pinpoint it...I thought @racer-x and that Dark Blue Dodge Boys Coupe when I saw it...

...56 SCTA Timing Tags...anybody have any pics of this Historic Land Speed Hotrod/Racer back in the day?...

    Quoted below from ad text...

"Southern California original steel 1929 Ford Model A roadster hot rod. the “199D”. raced from 1947-2006 at El Mirage and Bonneville!"

"The build was done by Jeff Arnett of the legendary “Bean Bandits”. using only the best parts available."

The build quote may in fact be regarding the engines...

It's hard to believe that something that hurtles forth at such high speeds has a simplistic lever shock...it highlights incredible knowledge in fabrication and finite balancing of rolling elements of the vehicle...

...The Bannister Roadster on the left and Unusually suspended Roadster on the right with Don Blair involvement I believe...

Love the kooky art on the streamlining cardboard...

I have featured this Roadster within this Thread and Highlighted the suspension and this pic adds another great angle for those in the know to identify...remember, go fast involved innovation, getting things lighter and handling better...all were on the table...

...Hamber @flt-blk's Studebaker powered Hotrod Pickup oozing the Yesteryear in admirable style...Such a cool pickup...

I read a Thread on his engine swap with his Pickup...he has an incredibly amazing calm dealing with the wave of anomalies encountered in getting it right...;)

He really nailed it in my opinion...

  23. Would a street version of this style ride seem odd?

...Yes it would, But then all these Old things we drive are somewhat odd and stand out like a sore thumb anyway you slice it...But these Fully Graphiced Stockers might amount to 2 Sore Thumbs of Standing out...:)

Another way of doing it would be inspired but done up road legal it would be similar to those Road Racers in South America...El caballero style...

  25. Yep. I guess a vintage road race style would work. That would give ya headlights.

There is a Hamber looking for this Rhode Island Hotrod...It was sold in 1965 and he feels it may be tucked in a garage corner out there...It sure was a very clean build and quite the Looker...

Anyone know of it?...It did get press as well...

Anyone remember seeing this in a their Rhode Island neighborhood back in 1965...Let Derek know at the link above...;)

Maybe not that one but in the day a lot of "stock cars" were driven to and from the races. I remember reading about a lady who was racing the family Nash before her husband found out.
