    Woodrow Jansen 51.jpg

    https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum...pics-from-the-lindsley-family-take-2.1201261/

...This wildly unique beast with Woodrow Jansen associated to it is evidently well engineered and showworthy Go fast machine and is one of the most unusual machines I have seen to date...Every time I see it I think of those early 50s Mechanix Illustrated Homebuilts and in an uncanny way it reminds me of these...

Just another Historical Connection to the Big Picture that was captured wayback by the Lindsley Family and shared by @39ChevyBob in another iconic Hamb Thread at the link above...

Car isn’t mine, it belongs to “MikeL50” on here from Mass.

He actually tracked down one of the original builders and eventual owner of this car! He’s doing U Tube videos and posts on Instagram. He did a build thread on here a few years ago for his

Another photo of Woodrow Jansen’s creation. The back of the photo said “the Bat”. I’m not sure if that was what it was referred to or simply what the photograph thought it looked like.

I am intrigued by how stunning a rolling brick can look...Woodrow's liner has been featured a few times within this Thread and the Fit and Finish always stands out...and there seems to be little press on this part of the Big Picture...The Bat does ring a bell...

That's a nice one Mike, I'm envisioning white as a possible color what's the details you have in mind...and the interior covering seems to have slid forward...:D

...Get those Lights down...this Sharp looking Modified was one of Carl Grimes early Hotrods...and just behind a couple of equally cool Hotrods...

He had his own unique style and produced a number of Hotrods with one of his wildest creations sold a while back at Auction...The Wild Wagon

...The Bullet...It's interesting in racing that the steering arms appeared on either side...the other possibility is this is Down Under were they to have similar Dry Lakes and a similar NA Hotrod Spirit...

...3 Stages of Go Fast all licked, on the Ready, Beradini Style...Anyone Know if these were Berardini Hotrods?

I snooped...and found this Quoted Text...

1953, The '34 Coup is Harrell Engines', the Tudor is Tony Pollaccia's, and the Ford Roadster on the right is the Bernardini Bros. All 3 engines were built by Harrell Engines and sporting Harrell Los Angeles racing heads.

This Over the Top Rod looks to be of possible period vintage that being 60-65ish...

    What's the story Jet?

I am drawn to that Flatty and wonder if that Character/Face I clearly see in the pulleys and fan was typical of any Flatty without a grille which I see off to the side...or part of the Theme...It's Like Psychedelic...

The Face I mention now makes sense as the Distributor I recall is referred to as a Crab or something to that effect...I really don't know much about Flatty history but one thing is for sure they are beyond cool...

@Stogy -I don't recall much about it, I've had a pic of the engine for a long time (may have posted on the intakes or headers thread?) As for the car, I tried to find some info on it but came up dry. Took quite a while to remember the name...

Hamber @onekoolkat1950, how are things in the land of diversity in Hotrod?

Hope all is well...I think you were onto a A Sedan or was it a 40, how's it coming along...

I miss your input and Artistry in Metal...so many Wild Hotrods from your region...

...Joe Brienza was a Hotrodder that certainly wasn't a Cookie Cutter...the Hotrod above was his teenage dream...pretty crafty for a 15 year old...

Thanks for the inspiration Joe to do what you dream...;)
