Installed weedetr kit with reversed eye springs in my 40 12 years ago and several others since.Changed rear shocks to Bilsteins a few years back.

 

If you are anywhere near Flint MI area, I will bring over a 40 for you to look at tomorrow or you could come to my place and see two. Both have the chassis engineering rear kit like the link above.

 

This thread has been beat to death, the OP has been told repeatedly how to correct the problem by many of us that have fixed the problem and he still doesn't listen. HRP

 

I’m in agreement with you there Danny.
If it was my car it would already have the weedetr rear suspension kit installed and I’d be on to something else.

Move the rearend back an Inch or so and you'll be set no need to make this a giant project, it's an hour or two job.

I ran across your 36 1 piece hood posts from 2016. I too have a 40 and a 36. I’m very interested in any and all info about doing a 1 piece on the 36.

Be sure to get the wheelbase the same on both sides before moving stuff. IE perfectly aligned, left to right / front to back. That way you can see exactly what is going on. And put some miles on it. I had the CE set up on my 37 Fordor. I used 2-1/2" lowering blocks with offset holes (CE sold them) at first. I think I got the tires / wheel wells looking good. I can't recall the rear tire sizes I used. Then my leaf springs sagged a LOT over the first year or so. When I re-did the lowering blocks I used shorter units and one of Speedway's adjustable units on one side to help fine tune things. Those gizmos are used by dirt trackers to control the stagger / help them turn left better. They are super cheap and sure are convenient. If you fenders are still way off, might be worth a trip to the body shop.
