  1. Had my namesake car when I joined in 2000 and that is what decided my username, 38 Chevy 2 dr sedan with 454. Also had a 64 Riviera and 37 Chevy truck. Kept the 38 around until 2018, the others were sold in the 2000's. DSCF5365.JPG 37Truck.jpg 64Riviera.jpg

Joined in late-2002. I had this '37 Chevy Sports Coupe since 1983, which had a '61 235 and a torque tube mounted O.D. unit I putm in it. My plan back then was to rod it further, buit life got in the way and I never quite got to it. I had it until a year ago last May (2019) but was spending most of my time building my avatar car. We moved in mid-2019 and I sold it. One of the worst mistake I ever made.....

Had to look it up. Joined in 2016 but I have never included an actual picture of my avatar car; only the painting. It has been sitting in the garage covered in dust on 4 flat tires since 1996.

I joined in 2004 after lurking for a long time. Just coming out of a nasty divorce I didn't have a running/driving hot rod nor the money to build one. In 2006 I went to Bonneville and then the HAMB drags. That lit a fire! At that point the decision was made to build something hamb-worthy. In 06/07 I built the T-V8 roadster in my avatar and got it done in time for the 2007 hamb drags. Took that car everywhere - hamb drags, bonneville, hamb picnic, the hillclimb, etc. Here it is at the first hillclimb in 2013:

I've met alot of super people through the hamb, many that have become great lifetime friends. Been fortunate to buy and sell many cars and alot of parts in the years since. Currently have a pretty full stable of cars and yes, I still have the T!! When I signed on years ago picking a username took me some time, but it was a good one because I still have "2muchstuff"!!

yep, still have all of them including the 1947 Mercury I bought in 1967. The only difference is that I have more of 'em since I found the HAMB in 1998 or 99

This is funny! This is the 1941 Dodge Coupe I had when I first got on the HAMB in 2004. Man I had big custom dreams for this car and never touched it. I was living in a trailer park at the time and this is all I could fit in the storage unit. Still have it, still have big dreams, we'll see where it goes.... 30630-1228326805-786b02ec39c5b06170285c795a648c72.jpg

I've been on and off here since 2007.. I had this 64 Bonneville with a 462 poncho and a 4 speed hydro. Of course I'm sorry I sold it.
I have a off topic 69 el Camino that won't let me sell it, the 454 runs too nice and it handles like a sports car...
My dream is to buy a 60 el Camino with a big block and a three on the tree in a totally stock interior with a tach on the column..

  16. I had a '55 Chevy and joined in 2002 after lurking a year or so. I was afraid of guys like Germ (TM).
This pic was taken in 2005 and I sold it a year later to fund my '28 sedan.

  17. Cool thread. Here's my HAMB friendly cars that I owned when I joined. They're all lifers. I will be passing them down to the kid's someday. A lot of you are now good friends. Thanks Ron... Oh yeah I joined in 1-20-15 20181123_142027.jpeg 20200720_083823.jpeg 20190627_093108.jpeg

2004 for me. Had the T. Then got the Falcon. Have wanted a Model A since I joined but settled on the Tempest. 21246596_332788600504878_6317730371749045656_o.jpg 21366869_332788657171539_1310015355920899177_o.jpg IMG_7446 2.jpg

I joined the HAMB when I was driving my Kermit The Frog green '55 Buick (which now lives in England in the care of Craig Coleman who takes much better care of it than I ever did! It got raced...a lot! The trophy plaque in the photo is for winning Street Eliminator one year at the Texas Nostalgia Drags.) which was sold to buy this raggedy black coupester which looks A LOT better in photos than it did in person. Good bones, but that's about all.

During my years with the HAMB the coupester gradually evolved into this really great highboy hot rod, but not without major surgery along the way. After five years of open-wheel fun, the coupester went to a new owner in Florida who again is taking much better care of it than I did. (This one got raced a lot, too! It never won anything but I sure had a lot of fun!)

The $$$ from the sale of the coupester went to purchase the incomplete '32 Tub which I'm enjoying today after putting lots of effort into re-doing it as well. This is a great road car with a "sweet spot" on the highway that would probably get me some serious jail time if I were ever to be pulled over. (I've been lucky...so far.)

Still here, still HAMBin' along. Have a great day!

  21. At the time this was my car when I found out about HAMB, and signed up.

Although I still have her...(1964 Falcon), since then I have acquired a very different kind of car. More in keeping with Hot Rodding...

Have been here since feb 2013. The reason was was i reasearched the net for pitures
of late 50:s early 60:s hotrods as inspiration to my build.
And more and less all hits i got was on HAMB.
So i decided that i wanted to join and have no regrets.
It was my T coupe that got me here but i allso had and still have a Dodge 53, 56 and a 59
but they are more and less stockers.
The coupe as it was then.
