  4. A photographer I met recently took these and they kind of grabbed me.

He spent a few hours just playing with the light, something I would never be bothered to do.

First glance, late '40's Chrysler, then huh, '41 Ford front end. Just enough swoop to put the motion in ART-N-MOTION. Jay Leno money and somebody would be building it for me.

    Hello,

Since Bonneville is not cancelled and is upon us, here is an inspiration from Rocky’s 1934 coupe. Modified, of course. (Liberties abound...)

Back when we were just getting started and the magazines were full of hot rods with Moon Discs, we assumed that those Moon Discs were for only the fast cars or at least for streamlining. Then as we got older, the Moon Discs stood for speed and smooth design. We even screwed a set on my brother’s 1951 Oldsmobile sedan. They have been a part of me for years since then.

Those moon discs just made any car look fast.

Did they work at Bonneville? Probably so, in the streamlining top end runs. Did they work at the drags? For the average 9 second ¼ mile run. Probably not. But, it could not hurt that it gives more of a smooth surface for the winds to bypass the wheel than a 12 spoke mag wheel or any deep dish, slotted, rear wheel.

Coefficient of drag adds in the smooth Moon Discs, so it must have some validity. But for the average 9 second run, it remains to be seen. For the longer distances at top speed possible, the Moon Discs were synonymous with smooth design and flow.

    Jnaki

So, the coupe is lowered, has a slight rake and covered with smooth Moon Discs.

For power: 383 stroked SBC with a front mounted 671 supercharger..
A "wolf in sheep's clothing," for sure!
