It looks like the opposite of a chopped top. Did someone extend the windshield?

  5. Sectioned and channeled?

  6. Channeled. 302 c4. Looks like one of the rolling chassis you can buy

I dont think it's an optical illusion, go measure a stock top and compare. Look at the quarter windows, unless it's a picture distortion, they aren't stock. Bill

Looks like a traditional East Cost Sectioned and Channeled car. Connecticut, New York, New Jersey caaa.

A 4-5 “ channeled car with out a chop top will always look odd. Always has - Always will - but cool in its own way.

If your going to channel it - don’t chop it.
If your going to chop it - don’t channel it. ( Rake the frame )

Chopped and channeled- might as well put wheels on a accordion- you’ll be so cramped and hunched over.

Growing up on the East Coast I’ve always liked un-chopped / channeled cars because it isn’t like the rest of the country Midwest / West Coast Chopped cars.

East Coast did their own thing....

Yup, gotta agree, either its been sectioned OR roof has been lifted....

Measure door window opening height and post and lets compare ;)

I find it hard to believe anyone would raise the roof so it must be camera distortion. Unless the used a Tudor sedan cowl and doors and raised the coupe roof to match?
Take some pics from the back and rear 3/4 shots.

That is what "channeling" is referred to.

" Channeling is a modification that can be applied to cars with body-on-frame construction. To channel a car, its body is temporarily lifted off of its ladder or perimeter frame. After cutting the floor loose and refastening it higher inside the body, the body can then be lowered back over the frame."

Camera angle, take photos from closer to street level or stand further away, or both.
(All photos showing part of the roof also adds to the distortion).
If you put the camera at ground level, and that close to the subject, every one would be saying that the body has had extra added to it.

I would guess it is a channeled stock body with rusty bottom 4 inches cut off. That is what happened in the northeast. That car looks like fun!

  21. Its a deluxe,,all the rear window mechanism and wood around rear window is in place and works like new. No evidence of metal work on inside of roof.

I don't think the body is modified at all. Neat car, I'd put a smaller tire on front.

  23. Its not...i agree with the front tire being toi big

The distance from the lower hinge to the bottom of the body looks stock to me.

  25. It is...it has the body line at the bottom and hangs down below the frame
