Technical Modified Clutch Equalizer Shaft.

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Matt Miller, Jul 28, 2020.

  1. Just to throw a wrench in the discussion. You can weld cast steel, just as easy as forged steel. It's the carbon content that is what makes steel vs cast iron. Cast iron has much higher carbon and is why welding is a different story. But the part shown is forged steel.

Welcome Matt! Consider yourself initiated. Painless, eh?

Btw, I don’t see where Matt mentioned it was cast or forged?

  6. Originally it was something like. LOOK! WHO SAYS YOU CAN'T WELD CAST IRON? THESE GUYS CAN. THEY TOLD ME SO". Oh OK enough jumping on him. Welcome Matt, don't get scared off too easy. Some of us are rude, crude, socially unacceptable beasts. Like me and my excuse is retired U.S. Army Cavalry, 37.5 years retired Master Sergeant.

  9. Use it, if it breaks, just drive home "RPM shifting" with no clutch or limp home in 2nd gear.
