True, her place was in SF. But her likeness and voice were part of the marketing campaign for the eccentric channel 36 in the 1970s. Was hoping it would ring a bell.
I guess the F-7 & F-8 got the 337cu.in. flathead that was used in the Lincolns. The truck versions had more HP and torque than the Lincoln versions. Still surprising they could handle the truck loads but gearing can do wonders!
That's a great looking Chris-Craft, but the car is what's really impressive in this shot. They've put over 2000 lbs on its roof and besides the rear springs it isn't complaining (much).

The name of the movie was Ambush, Lloyd Nolan was not in They Drive by Night, that was Humphrey Bogart and George Raft. Mick
