That's a great idea. Do you think a T-bolt blister would look funny with the rib?

Not if you don't! At least it would set itself apart from the rest of the T Bolts..............

    Glenn.
Letter 'Y' was what I had on my 1st '55. Is that catalog page from J.C. Whitney?

  5. Letters ''X'' and ''U'' have a nice look and are peaked.

I can see X looking like extending the hood shape just in a smaller version.

Don't limit your search to automotive scoops, check out the marine scoops also. Yes I know boats don't have hoods but they have some nice looking scoops that bolt to their tunnel ram, blowers and such!

The SD Pontiac scoop had its origin from the Ford F600 truck, Pontiac bought some and assigned a GM part number to make them legal to meet the NHRA rules.

To me none of the scoops actually look good on the car. They look like an afterthought or just flat out look wrong. I have always liked well done scooped hoods.......factory designs usually, because they flow with the hood. So far I haven't seen anything that looks better than squirrels thru the hood set up. It just says "power" and no bullsh**.
