  2. Hello Everyone,

My business will again be open for transport starting the first full week of May!

As much as I enjoyed working on my cars, shop & yard, I hated not being able to bring my customers their new toys! I very much appreciate all of those folks who were patient during this Chinese Virus Crap.

I currently have a backlog of 13 cars, so the first two weeks of May are completely booked & should clear about 7 off the schedule. After that I will have a couple of spots to fill in openings in between others To clear up the rest!

Please feel free to call, email or P.M. for cash on delivery price quotes.

As of now ALL transport for May are using the Ameri-Lite aluminum single car ENCLOSED Trailer.

    Thank you & God Bless

Bill did a great job of hauling our really rusty `41 lincoln convertible, it made a big mess in his trailer but he got it here and we are pleased with his work. Bill is one you can trust, give him a call.

  5. Bill transported my 1969 Corvair from N.C. to Ohio on 5-15-20.

Bill then transported my 1951 Chevy from N.C. to Ohio on 6-1-20.

Each car was transported with Bill’s enclosed trailer ....... Bill made these transports a worry free experience for me.

Thank you Bill for your great service.

Bill transported my newly acquired 1968 Buick Wildcat from the Western upper peninsula of Michigan
all the way to New Mexico. He did an excellent job.
His enclosed trailer is equipped with an electric winch, so there was no crawling in and out of the windows of the car, which ends up happening with so many transporters.
Bill's communication throughout the transport was exceptional. From his contacts with the seller, with me and with the friend who picked up the car for me, I was fully informed about the journey of my vehicle from start to finish. By far the best car transporting experience I've ever had. I highly recommend Bill you will be extremely pleased with the service that he provides. Regards, David

I've used at least a dozen different shipping companies over the years and the last couple times I've used Bill. He is BY FAR THE BEST out there. His prices are very fair and when you consider his "door to door" service is him never unloading your vehicle and even sleeping with the truck and trailer to make sure your car arrives safely, it's easy to see why so many customers have been happy with his services. He's 5 stars and more in my book.

  15. Hello Everyone,

I am back at home & could not have picked a better week to get home as we have had 7 straight days of sunny & 70+ deg. That is amazing in November for Northern Ohio!

I would like to thank everyone who allowed me to transport their vehicles from one end of the country to the other. I very much enjoyed meeting each & everyone of you &am look forward to seeing all of you again on the next one you need transported or at a show/cruise. I would also like to thank everyone for the amazing feedback posted here on this thread & all of the recommendations that you all post when folks ask here & on other forums. For me there is NO greater honor than a customer putting his reputation on the line recommending my company to a fellow car guy for transporting.

I am officially shut down for the rest of the year so that I can spend the holiday season with my Parents, Friends & my 3 "Senior" Furry Kids. With almost 4 million accident-free transport miles over the past 37 years, I will not be offended if anyone calls me a "Fair Weather Transporter"[IMG] My Parents are 81 & 79, I don't get to see them very much because of my transporting schedule most of the year, so this is a good time for a break. I will start back out sometime after the 1st of January & already have two transports booked for then. I will also use this time to work on some of my collection that doesn't get any attention the rest of the year.

As always I will answer ALL calls, emails & P.M.s. I will also recommend a few other Quality Transporters with whom I am very comfortable recommending & who to stay far away from.

    God Bless
    Bill

  16. I've used Bill's Auto Works a few times now (coast to coast, & north to south). I see why people are happy with his services. Communication , safety at a fare price. .I will not use anyone else. . .Thank you Bill

For over a year I was going to take my '57 Chevy to my sister in Florida, but with everything going on, it just wasn't working out. A month ago my wife said we should just pay someone to do it and she proceeded to get a quote off the Internet. I told her I would check on the HAMB for someone.
I contacted Bill, got a quote, and scheduled a date. Bill's communication skills are great, as time got close, he called to verify everything and kept me informed as he was on his way. He picked up the Chevy at 12:30pm Saturday and my sister had the car at 9:30am on Sunday. I have nothing but praise for Bill. He is a professional, reliable and trustworthy person to do business with. And he's a nice guy, too. I will certainly use him again if the need arises.
I promised my sister the car over a year ago and just like that, she now has it. Thanks Bill. I only wish my wife had thought of this sooner. Ron

Bill added my Corvette top to a westward load for an inexpensive fee but provided the same level of communication, attention to detail and professionalism one would expect of a high dollar transport.

    Thanks Bill!

  21. Hello Everyone,

Bill just transported my fathers 1955 Chevy for us from Florida to North Carolina and the quality of service is over the top topnotch. Just a very respectful and stand up guy who is very compassionate not only to his job but to any situation that many of these cars have he literally takes to heart. I’m very thankful for what he did for my family and in the time frame given was truely a blessing—Thanks again and look forward to the next transaction—Enjoy the time home hope you remain safe in these crazy times and stay blessed!

  25. Hello Everyone,

It has been another great year. I always say we have the best folks in our hobby & I was blessed to meet a bunch of them as well as reconnecting with previous customers/friends while transporting their cars to them. I also passed the 4 million accident-free transport mile mark earlier this year. This is also a blessing with all the texting going on these days!

I am taking an extended leave from transporting starting now & will probably last until March. After a health scare with my Mom a few weeks ago (she is recovering nicely), I decided since I am an only child & there is nobody else around I would stay off the road for the winter to help Mom & Dad (both in their 80's). Living out in the country in Ohio, this time of year is hardest on them.

I will still be on the forums as I am heavily addicted to the hobby & plan on working towards finishing a few of my project cars that are in different stages of assembly. I will also continue to field all phone calls, emails & P.M.s from anyone who would like advice on transporting, recommendations for who to use & who NOT to use if you care about your car. I highly recommend David Robert Phelps who advertises in this section. I have sent probably 2 dozen of my overflow customers his way & all feedback about him has been positive! I also have a few other guys who I have vetted properly & feel comfortable sending customers their way.

My last 2 trips were out to Seattle & back, as well as to Florida & back, here are pictures of the rides I delivered!

    God Bless

  27. Hello Everyone,

I would like to wish a Very MERRY CHRISTMAS to all my Friends, Customers & my fellow Car Guys here on the forum!

Even though I have been away from transporting since Nov 1st to help family & will continue to be home until March, I feel like I have been so blessed to have my business be so successful in the hobby I love. I wish to give back whenever possible, so I am always just a phone call or message away if you need advice about transporting. I also work with a small handful of other QUALITY Transporters that I feel comfortable putting my reputation on the line sending my overflow to. I will be glad to pass along their information to you, so you don't end up with someone who has a terrible reputation of screwing over car guys!

    God Bless & Merry Christmas

  28. Hello Everyone,

Even though I am still officially on a leave of absence from the road until sometime in March, I have agreed to do one reasonably short transport from very close to my place in Northern Ohio down to South Carolina. This allows me to only be gone for a day or two at the most & have arranged for things to be taken care of here while i am gone.

I will now have one transport spot available from South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia or the Northern Half of Florida up to Ohio, Indiana, Western Pennsylvania or South/Central Michigan the week of Feb 1st.

This can can be with EITHER the Featherlite single car open trailer with large air dam to protect from stone chips OR the aluminum Ameri-Lite single car enclosed trailer. This is an actual vehicle trailer with a Drive in Rear Door, Dove/Beaver tail rear for the ease of loading the lowest of vehicles. Both have electric winches, so the vehicle need not run, but must roll freely on inflated tires.

I am starting my 39th year with 4 million accident-free transporting miles during that time. This equates to around 2500 vehicles transported. I do NOT hide my full name or use aliases! I am proud of the reputation I have worked hard to build.

Even though I have not been on the road, I am still fielding calls, emails & P.M.s to help my fellow car guys find a transporter that will NOT screw them over, steal from them, disappear with there cars, etc, etc. I have a small group of 5 guys that I have completely vetted & trust them 100%. That is why I feel comfortable passing along their information to folks that inquire. They are ALL car guys also.

Please give me a call, email or P.M. for a cash on delivery price quote. I do not take deposits as I believe a mans word is his bond!

    Thank You & God Bless

  29. Hello Everyone,

Unfortunately my per mile rate has been INCREASED to reflect the increase in diesel fuel & basically ALL other business expenses over the past year, but I still discount off of that top rate for previous customers & also transports over 1500 loaded miles.

I figured I would show a few of the cars I have transported recently. I was supposed to be off the road until the 1st of March, but once I agreed to help out one gentleman, it just spiraled out of control & I am back to running lots of miles because I cannot seem to say no as often as I should!

I will have an Enclosed Trailer spot available on or about March 15th from Wisconsin, Eastern Minnesota or Illinois back to Ohio, Michigan Indiana or possibly point further East or South.

I am also trying to help a gentleman get his Model T out to West/Central Montana after a less than pleasant experience with another in the past. This means I will have an Enclosed Transport spot available from Great Falls, Boise, Id, Cheyenne, Wy, etc back towards Ohio & the surrounding states (or to anywhere further east/southeast). I have plenty of time on this one, it can take place late March or Late April.

This is my 39th year in business with 4 million accident-free transport miles & over 2500 vehicles transported during that time. As always my full name & equipment are prominently shown as well. I am proud of the reputation I have built & the condition I keep my equipment. I also appreciate the integrity of the feedback from customers in the Hamb O Dex section....No Funny Business or fake feedbacks posted by the renter of a website!

Give me a call, email or P.M. for a cash on delivery price quote. I am always available to talk & will never act like you are bothering me! If I do NOT have a spot to fit you in, I can recommend a few other Quality gentlemen that I trust completely to handle your new baby.

    Thank You & God Bless

  30. Hello Everyone,

I am basically booked 100% already for all of April. There is always a possibility of squeezing something in between, but.....!

I am currently storing a customers car in my climate controlled shop free of charge that I picked up on Cape Cod, Ma recently. I am taking this out to North of Seattle the 1st week of May. I then have one booked from the Sacramento, Ca area back to North Carolina. This will leave me with 2 separate Enclosed Trailer spots available during that time.

The 1st available spot will be from the Seattle/Portland are down to the Sacramento, Ca area. I am willing to transport a bit further south with a car if needed & it never hurts to ask!

The 2nd available spot will be from North Carolina, South Carolina or Virginia up to Ohio, Indiana, Michigan or possibly Western Pennsylvania/Western New York.

This coming month (April) starts my 40th year in business with over 4 million accident free transport miles & over 2500 vehicles transported. I am working at winding down some, but it is hard to do as I feel I have a responsibility to help out the great folks in this hobby, especially those that a have done multiple transports for over the years. Somewhere down the line I will have to say no more times than I say yes!

Regardless of whether or not you own the vehicle, I am ALWAYS available to quote cash on delivery prices, give advice concerning transporting, recommend who else to use or who to stay FAR away from! I will NOT be rude, disrespectful, call you names or act like you are bothering me! I have a small group of Quality, Honest Transporters who are life long car guys as well that I trust 100% with my customer overflow & will be glad to pass along their information to you if I do not have a spot available for you!

    Thank you & God Bless
