OK - since there have been other recent posts about HAMB history - I thought I would post some....

My fellow Moderator / Buddy / Rocky sent me a picture of my Original Coupe that I had when I signed up on the HAMB 19 years ago. ( # 282 )
Rocky turned me on to the HAMB, was influential on chatting with Ryan about me being a Moderator.
    Easy going - I am..... I guess.
The car that I had that started it all for me on the HAMB.
    THE CornCobCoupe - 28 Dodge.
I learned the body was found in a Corn Cob Crib some time before I got it - just the body and frame from the firewall back.
My friend Jay - built /did all the fab / suspension.
Together I observed - taught me some about welding / fab.
Some things I can do - some I haven't tackled yet.
Never too old to learn. Had a great time.

Thus my HAMB name - my avatar is back to it's history.
The only picture I have of it thanks to my Buddy Rock.

I have no idea where it is now.
I wouldn't mind buying it back if the price is right.
So - show your original car when you signed up - still have it or not ?
    Post em'

I signed up in 2006. The car I had at the time was my old '62 Ford Galaxie. This photo is from our first trip to the Lonestar Roundup, that same year --

  12. Joined up in 2007, had the '40 then, in fact I've had it since 1990. Wow, 30 years I've owned it. Seems like just yesterday. I've spoken with 3 previous owners going back to the late 60's. Where does time go?! I thought growing old would take longer! IMG_0287-vi.jpg 2013-10-22 13.06.45.jpg DSC07017.JPG IMG_7195 (Large).JPG

    My orange 1932 Ford Roadster.

And my Black 1932 mordor, they are both gone now.

But I also had my project 1932 tudor sedan in the garage at that time. HRP

I didn't have a running car when I joined, so no matching screen name.

I wonder if Stinky the Bum will post a pic of his ol' piece of cardboard?

Trying to figure out how to build a Hotrod is what led me to the HAMB. I think I was buying parts at a swap meet and someone asked if I was on the HAMB and I think I said "what's that??"

It took me until 2011 to get it on the road and it's still not technically finished but it has taken me a lot of places and allowed me to meet some lifelong friends along the way!

Joined 2011 when I bought my truck 36 ford. Found the site while trying to learn all I could about it.

Bought the truck and had nowhere close to store it so it went to the machine shed at Grandma's farm and there it sat until about a month into quarantine. When I finally drug it home ready to start working on it. FF a couple more months and now I'm getting transfered to TX for work so work will have to wait a little while longer. But it's making the trip with us and then I won't have any more excuses but to actually do something with it.

When we parked it at the farm. Complete with Photobucket stamp lol
    tapatalk_1595872066927.jpeg

And at the shop where it site right now. Hasn't changed much.

  25. Back in 2002 my first post was a brake question, luckily it flew under the radar and i avoided the hazing. Still driving the Model A some 18 years later.
Now that my shakedown run is over, it's finally getting some shiny paint one piece at a time.

I was flt-blk before it was uncool
