Those are some fantastic dealership photos ! My close friend Joe Sheppard’s family ran the most prominent sports car dealership in Tampa back in the day. Photo is of Joe and his father Jack. The Lotus won LeMans in 1956.

Early photo of Jan Opperman in Hank Hanestads Ranger powered sprint car. I believe this was the car that Jan won his first sprint car race in at Vallejo Speedway in Northern California

 

Located in Hampton, Va. - Sponsored some race cars in mid 60's

 

Recall reading a story of a dirt track somewhere in the States. Someone brought a Ranger powered sprinter. The scream from the motor brought down fifty years of bird shit on the fans in the stand. Yikes.

1958 Hoosier 100 action with Johnny Thomson - Racing Associates #7 - Tony Bettenhausen - Zink #5 & eventual winner Eddie Sachs in Schmidt's #44 -

 

Thomson and Sachs would drive all night to ReadingPa. for a sprint car race where Thomson would win and Sachs finish third.
