Technical Does anyone know what these come off?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by 46convert, Jul 24, 2020.

  1. I looked for a part number buy couldn't find 1. The hub fits old Ford bolt pattern(model A wheel) and has 3 threaded small holes in it. Both the spindles have 1 tierod hole and don't look like any cut off. Thank you for any help I get.

Spindles look like '40 Ford that have been trimmed on. I can't say positively, but maybe the hubs are F-1?

I don’t know about the hubs but the spindles are ‘37-‘41.

That's what I was thinking. The spindles have been heavily modified but the hubs do look like the F-1 pick up hubs I have. What did they come off of a hay wagon???

Isn't that a welded steel spoke tractor or trailer type wheel?

May work on the front of a T bucket with really narrow spindle mount wheels if you dare to drive without front brakes

That makes sense now looking at them again. He didn't need front brakes.

I need to see the face of that wire wheel. I think you have some old Midget Race car parts, early stuff. The hubs look like narrowed 26-27 Ford items the three holes would be for the speedometer drive gear. Bolt pattern will be smaller than 1928-48 Ford if they are. Bob

T hubs would have screw in caps. These have the post war tap in caps.

Yes & no, the wood wheel caps screw on, but the optional 26-27 wire wheel hub has the tap on cap on the hub plus the cap on the wire wheel. Stole these off that website, the odd sprocket is the speedometer drive. ;) Bob

Most don't, the speedometer was an accessory. Bob
