@Jigger(Mark) designed my new shop logo and came through again by working up a clock face for an old Miller neon bar clock I snagged at a swap meet. Marks good friend Hank then handled the transfer print on to a rigid surface for my brand new clock. Thanks Mark and Hank! 61583500041__CDD64BB9-E86B-4C1D-B99E-EAF1F8415BF7.JPG 61586221251__905D3C4E-48B4-4474-B7EE-BC0F66CD736A.JPG

Posted these last week on the "Keep it Sketchy" thread.
Virtually NONE of my early artwork survived several "family moves" but I just recently found a few.

These 2 from about 9th grade. [IMG] [IMG]

A photocopy of a color drawing I did for Mother's Day. My Dad had bought my Mom a new '66 Bronco, but she preferred to drive her old pink & black '55 Ford convert. She and "Crink" the dog would to town once a week (Fridays) for groceries and hair styling. [IMG]

    (A little water-damaged.)
4 years later, same car...and it appears I finally figured out a more "Robert Williams's (the Master) style" of drawing tires and rims !!! [IMG]

As an aside, In the early '90s I took that '55 Ford Convert to Hershey and sold it for my parents. I had the original invoice ($2,509) and priced it at $12,509...and it sold.

30+ years of use, and a $10,000 profit !!! My parents were amazed. Ol' Pink & Black served our family well:D

Last I knew it was in Vermont and had received a full "frame off" rotisserie restoration:)

  13. It was my honor Rusty! (Sorry I didn't get to see you last Friday but we didn't drive through Colorado Springs until around 9pm and we still had to trek up to Cheyenne for the night.)
    Thanks to all the likers!

Here is the logo art and the clock face for the record...I'd planned to post it first but I'm glad Rusty took the initiative... Also, for the record, to those who prefer Corvettes not populate the HAMB, for reasonable reasons which I respect,
this particular car was not a 'Vette at all to Rusty's father. It was his 'shop truck' from day one back when he bought it new. Many a hot rodder has passed through the doors of the Speedometer Shop over the decades so it seems worthy of the seal of approval here on the JJ...

Animal, you might be just a tad partial to them... ya think? :) They do have some super cool lines harking from the "jet age". I dig 'em too, my friend...

sorry story, but I’m afraid when it gets painted this next winter it’s just going to be boring ole maroon with An ivory Number on the tail.
