    Have a 57 panel delivery.
Want to maybe replace the OEM springs with something to lift rear around 2-3".
Looking online I think i come up with ..

    • SRI Number:22-231
    • OEM Number:3712520
    • Width:2 Inches
    • Length (A): 26 Inches
    • Length (B):26 Inches
    • Arc (C):6-3/8 Inches
    • Number of Leaves:7
    • Pack Thickness (D):2-1/16 Inches
    • Capacity:1,150 lbs.
    • Front Bushing:Included / TB-7
    • Rear Bushing:Included / HEC
    • Location:Rear
    • Spring Construction:1st Stage 4/291, 2nd Stage 2/291 1/323

Anyone know a 52" spring 2" wide that would likely give and additional 3" arc ? Listed here as 6-3/8" inch.

Wouldnt re-arching cause them to be shorter in eye to eye length ?

See if there is a truck shop in your area that makes springs. They can re-arch your springs to the exact ride height you are wanting.

Are Panel trucks considered a 3/4 ton ?

Looks like i can get my existing leafs rearched locally for $450
or I can buy new and have them rearched in MO for around same price.

He was working off these springs...... a bit stronger than the 7 leaf I have now ...... but I wanted to make sure Im not giving him the wrong leafs before I drop $500 .. as that would be on me

    https://www.truckspring.com/products/truck-springs/replacement-leaf-spring-22-241.aspx

    I measure 52" (26/26 ) 2" wide on my current panel ....

Eaton Spring? Probably will be pricey but I bet they can provide what you want.

They made two different versions of the panel truck. The 3100 short wheelbase, 1/2 ton version has 6 lug wheels. The 3800 long wheelbase, 1 ton version has 8 lug wheels.

If yours is a short wheelbase, it's 1/2 ton.

Thanks..but I only know a few chapters, not the whole set!

Standard leaf springs in rear were 7 leaf, heavy duty were 8 leaf. 1100 lbs vs 1350 lbs capacity.

I believe the panels and suburbans all came with heavy duty rear springs. But I'm not sure.

    Thanks all.
Got her welded in ..... seems pretty straight, took her for her first run around the block - rode like a champ even without shocks ..... have a PS leak I need to fix then almost time to get her licenced for the road.

    Appreciate the assist.
