However, I’m building a mild kustom with no chop or section. It does not have the stock frame under it but it would be a challenge to determine if it is channeled or not. However it will have some customizing beyond the normal nosed, decked, shaved, and pinstriped.
The frame in rear is “home made” and not stock. In fact none of the frame is stock to the truck and I’m actually raising the bed a few inches to accommodate the bed floor rather than cut it out. Besides the combination of Olds grill parts and maybe Chrysler grill bar, I am adding 54 Chevy quarter panels on it to eventually house 56 Buick tail light assemblies. The wheel wells/openings will be modified as well.
I know it is not a full or radical kustom because it doesn’t have the chopped top or sectioned body or channeled, but it sure feels like more than a mild kustom as I’m building it. There should be a class between mild and radical to suit kustoms such as mine that are somewhere in the middle there? Thoughts?

Just about to dig into this one again, haven’t had it legal in 6 odd years. Have done the odd wee trip to town in it but nothing cool.

Little bit exciting to have it going again. Should drive heaps nicer with power brakes and r&p steering

Love it except for the sun visor. I wouldn’t be able to see where I’m going. (6’2”) Plus I’m more of a keep it smooth and clean look kinda guy. Never really cared much for barbs and snags. Just my little quirk. The car is definitely cool though and I’d be happy to drive that around anywhere.

Does anyone know if this truck was ever finished? I dropped out of the scene for a few years and this is pretty much how I remember it looking about 10 years ago. I tried to find the old build thread too, but also came up empty.
