  3. Isn't this an old build? There's so many projects that come from his shop it's hard to keep track. .

  4. Nope this is a current build. Your problably thinking of the shiny black '34 from a number of years ago.

    Not much of an update, but I got a bunch of nick-knacks painted shiny black including the dash. Here is a quick rewind;

    Still waiting on pistons, next update might be a while...

    The pistons are backordered for another month, so I have to move forward.

    Roller frame.

    Mockup motor back in.

    DON'T try this at home.....

    Body mounted for the final time.

    Now, I can finish putting the car together and stuff the new engine in once the pistons show up.

    See ya, -Abone.

  17. So, let me ask a small question. With the gauges in the middle of the dash, whatcha gona do about the cowl vent handle/linkage? I was so pissed off when I went to mount my cowl vent linkage! My pretty gauges were right in the way! When I want it open I just grab it and pull it up and off..store it behind the seat.

    I bent the handle forward a bit now it clears by about an inch or so. I learned that lesson the hard way on the first '34 I built.

    See you in August, -Abone.

    My guy got the seat done. The insert is '57 Chevvie material. Not sure how he sneaked Chevvie stuff in there without me noticing...

    Yes, the car will have a 6-71. That is why I am still waiting on custom pistons. Hard to believe no one stocks a reverse dome supercharger piston with a revised pin location and thick top ring land for a 389 Pontiac.....

  23. Did you leave the flange that runs across the back of the body down low? I think the original tank cover bolts to it. Are you planning to run an original style 33-34 gas tank? I cut that thing off my car and installed a stainless tank below the back window. Its' the front of my trunk now.

    The chrome showed up while I was at the Drags. Chromeplaterjosh for the win.

    This is the most economical street level chrome they offer, but it still looks fantastic.
