Hello welcome to another weekly update from Mart's Garage. I continue with the 32 sedan, starting by assembling the front axle. I discuss the quality of some repro parts. I do a quick update on Richards truck. I then gather the parts to fit the front axle to the frame. PLEASE READ NOTES BELOW. Some notes: There will be a separate video showing some repairs to one of the perch bolts. To include it in the update video would make it too long, so look out for that going live in the week. This might be the last regular update on Richard's F1, as he is back at work and progress has slowed. I will post updates as and when there is something significant to show. Thanks for watching, I hope you find the content interesting and informative.

If you like it please give this thread a bump. Ta.

    Mart.

  7. A lot of repro parts would be a comedy act...if they were free.

Then there are all those parts that were originally forged, now repo'd in cast iron. Two different animals with two different results. Ain't right.

Great video, Mart. Thanks for posting.

As for the steering parts, you may have bought them from the USA, but I'd be willing to bet that they weren't MADE in the USA. I wouldn't trust my life in using them. I would toss them in the thrash (after cutting them up so no-one else could use them), and haunt ebay, HAMB ads, etc., to find unused originals or period aftermarket ones (i.e. Moog, etc.), which would be good quality. You also might want to check the ones used on late- '30's Chevys, to see if they would fit.

    Just my .02 cents.
