If I remember correctly, there was a "reset" in 2001 that required members to rejoin. I know you were on the HAMB prior to that.

You are correct. March 2001. I first found the place over the Christmas break in 99. I think that was after the Temporary PokeMon board

The great reset of '01.......dark days. I was still a lurker....since '99.

 

I'm glad that some of you long time members have hung around. Personally, it makes this place feel... not sure how to say it... established? Maybe more like an institution of sorts rather than the typical internet site.The HAMB has made history... while celebrating and honoring history.

I know a lot of you miss so many of your buddies... the early members who aren't here now. I've been here just long enough to miss a handful of them myself. I also understand that some of you might miss the near complete lack of pc that I think the HAMB had back then LOL.

Well... thanks for putting up with us 1,195,000 new guys.

8314, September of 2005. I used to sit at my desk and break up the boredom by checking out the HAMB. Similar to what I am doing 15 years later.

 

I am a newby since 2006 . With a touch screen we can’t hover over anything as far as my feeble mind knows.

 

I'm with the other guys that don't see any numbers. I'm on my laptop, running chrome. All I see is my join date and number of posts. In 2 days it will be my 12th anniversary.

 

I ended up #16. I think I was up Waay late one night when the board switched over and just happened to log in while folks were sleeping. It was around that time we also had a real time messaging function that worked like a personal chat room.

 

I gotta scroll way down on chrome or or it hides under the bottom toolbar
