Replying to HEMIDAV post with Model A Roadster and couple sitting beside it. Click on "View Attachment" at the end of this post. This picture has popped up a few times recently. It is the Model A roadster built by Evan Isaacs seen here with his wife Sue back in the mid 60's. Channelled and YBlock power/39 3 speed. I purchased the car in 1968 and by that time Evan had fitted more elaborate headers. After running it around for maybe 18 months it was time for a rebuild and repaint from red to blue. Here are a couple of photos. First one is at Brisbane Hot Rod Show in 1970 after rebuild and first presentation. Also a shot of me at the Drags and I won B/HR class. Then an article in one of the Aussie mags.
Unfortunately, even after months of surveilance work, neighborhood watch captain Bob was no closer to solving the chop shop problem troubling our town.
