Event Coverage Nor-Cal yard sale / swap meet

went to a couple of near by yard sales this morning, some goodies to be had - bought a couple of smalls - one had misc parts, other '29 Roadster - was told that the Stockton Swap Meet & Car Show is happening tomorrow at the San Joaquin County Fairgrounds - not going

 

That's a cool yard sale. Must've advertised well to get old cars over. I'm headed to a block yard sale.

What brand is the bike? Probably expensive.

 

Looking at the collection of cool stuff my guess is that there weren't yard sale prices?

 

Now THAT'S a yard sale !!!!

The only things you find at yard sales here in the northeast are; Portly women's clothes, dishes and snow tires

One yard has some things. I got the chrome chainguard.

Hey is the Stockton swap meet still on for tomorrow?
I called but the number is no good. I texted, same thing. I replied to craigslist ad, no answer.
The guy sponsoring it needs to be accountable. My daughter from Oregon is driving down to go to the swap meet with her husband but I told her it's a crap shoot because no point of contact to verify it's on.

 

The internet says the "Special Cruiser" is a Firestone and probably manufactured by Huffman. Somebody else said D.P. Harris/Rollfast.

 

It looks like one of those"press-down" mechanical ashtrays...but missing parts

 

You mean you didn't buy all those hubcaps and wheel covers or a bunch of the stuff in the show case or the fake white walls or on and on? Wish I would hit a yard sale like that!!

I rode by there again but it's over. Zoom in and you can see wiring. It might've made a good fog light, but it needs a lens, preferably glass.

 

You're right, didn't notice that it is wired. What's throwing me off is it appears to have legs...and is a table-top model of something.

 

Grandpa was a hoarder and he past'd away a short time ago. Kids and rest of the family have no interest in the car junk so they're just wanting to get rid of it.....

I'm just guessing here.......

Wonder what the bike frame is, T radiator shells aren't common tag sale items either. Bob

 

It does look like it's setting flat like it has legs. I think that what looks like a leg is actually a mounting stud.

I don't know if that crossbar piece makes it fairly unique.

 

Garage sales around her suck. None out of ten times it's baby crap or Grandma's junk none of the grandkids wanted after she kicked the bucket

the seller is a wheeler dealer swap meet guy -teenage kids were helpers setting up & selling

 

That's good, any time kids are doing something without an iPhone is a good thing.
