Hello, I found a large stash of Kelsey Hayes and others rims. There's probably about 75 rims in there a lot of them are NOS some aren't. He said he would sell me all of them for $5 a piece . The guy knows nothing about them he inherited it all . Sounds like a good deal . I took some photos of the newer ones that have labels but a lot of the old ones will take some research. Does anyone know of a place online to look up all these part numbers? If anyone has any info on any of them please let me know. It will be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Ron

Too bad you didn't get the whole wheel! LOL But seriously those marked Made in Canada should be returned ASAP.

Also saw a few of the old artillery style rims. Hopefully I can find some info on the KH part #'s

  13. Have books but don't think they have the KH numbers in them......saw what looked like an early Buick from the 50's in there.....the face or hub cap side will help ID them as well.

Those are wheels. there is no way to attach a rim to an axle. It's just one part of a wheel. Say it again, WHEELS! You might want to check scrap steel salvage prices because most of them aren't worth anything. But the wire wheels in the bunch may help recoup the cost.

Most can probably identify those wheels by images of the wheel itself, instead of part #s. Nice find!

Have you priced new factory style wheels lately? Over $100 in many cases. Even to find decent steel wheels at the Pic-a-part are hard to find. A 15" small bolt pattern GM plain steel wheel is near impossible. $7.50 each there.

Nope. to be a complete wheel, it has to offer a mechanical advatage to move a vehicle/object. Those are really just a "tire adapter" that allows you to mount a flexible rubber tire to a solid axle/hub/drum:D

Thanks for all the replies. So maybe it's best to pick though and get the ones that have GM part numbers or have tags or handwwritten I'd info on them. Saw a set labeled 74 buick skylark and others like the photos I attached. Thanks again

I believe he meant that even the ultra common GM wheels are harder to find now. Others such as the Mopar police package wheels spotted by someone earlier in the thread will be more desirable.

Some places in the rest of the planet would call those rims. As in," what size rims ya got for it"? When they have tyres mounted it's "nice set of wheels ya got there".

The 14 inch wheels will be a hard item to sell. Many times not even good for rollers as the early wheels won't clear brake calipers.

Thanks again for all the replies. Maybe I should just get them all but the 14" and just sort through them.I'm just wondering how much value some of the 15" have even being NOS? I'm not sure of the value of some of the ones in the photos that some of you all recognize. Thanks, Ron

I would probably get most of the 15" and larger diameter with 5 lugs, generally stay away from 13" and 14" and 4 lug if you're going for the best value. The value really just depends on what they came on, some may be completely undesirable but some can be worth a lot. Try to get pictures of the front of as many as you can and I'll point out any valuable ones.

Thanks Wheelkid! I try to take a bunch of photos and post them. I was more focused on taking photos of the labels but should have took photos of the fronts. Thanks, Ron

The silver wheel marked E3FZ 1007 is an 83 Ford Escort wheel. Probably not a hot selling item... LOL

  30. At $5 bucks each you can’t really loose.

up here plain Jane 15” steel wheels are getting harder to find.sell for 20 to 50 each for your generic 70’sand older ford n Chevy stuff.

I would grab them all at that price.

not sure where your located, but make your money on the money making stuff.

and if you live in the snow belt even h The 4 bolt n weird stuff will probably sell in the fall for winter tire season.
    Just throwing it out there.

when I worked in automotive I ended up with a lot of those universal steel wheel and would clog them off for $100 a set in the fall easy.

    Anyways good luck!
