Just to let everyone know what's going on. The area that was known as Weeki Wachee which is a very small area was dissolved by the State of Florida but the Weeki Wachee Springs attraction which is owned by the State of Florida is still open for business and is a wonderful attraction for any visiting Florida to see. Worked on several offshore boats that Bernie Little sponsored, Anheuser Bush Natural Light, 35 Cigarette and Michelob Light 38 Scarabs in the 70's in S. Florida. He was a typical impatient rich guy. He did sponsor first class boats.
Springfield, Mass. ? Looks like it, if it is, I spent a lot of time downtown especially at Johnson's Bookstore. That was a great place with a below street level tunnel to the art supply & used book store behind the main store. Sadly now gone.
Yes, Forbes & Wallace and Johnsons Bookstore were the places that we shopped at in the 50s. Then we did lunch at a Chinese restaurant off Main St, and I collected the small white wrapped sugar cubes to put in my Lionel boxcar train set.
