March '99 crashed and rebuilt. Full size Dodge van changed lanes into 3W and clipped left rear fender. Van went off into medium on Highway 99 and hit Coupe a second time while coupe was sideways. Six months later after frame straightened, top chopped, fenders repaired and sprayed black acrylic lacquer. I owe the body repair and top chop to Stan Beringhele, RIP, who I bought the body from in '82.
Title is "32 Ford 3W pictures" This is my car that I built and rebuilt. What are you inferring. I was fortunate to have friends who helped with the rebuild, including Eric Vaughn, wheels and Pete Eastwood, headlight bar. What is this '32 3W envy?
Great pictures all. Unfortunately I'm still not computer savvy so my 3 window has to be in the avatar. I'd like to show what it looked like when the drivers door flew open at 85 mph. All repaired now, was lucky it didn't screw up the hinges, just the door skin and fender.
I'm pretty sure it's the same car. I was parked across the isle from it at GNRS a couple years ago, Oh Man is it nice.
In the '70s I built a '32 chassis and for years looked for a 3W body. '82 was the year that I found a 3W body at the Pomona Swap Meet. The seller was a body man who had a life long appreciation for the '32 Fords and had parted out his 3W to build a roadster. We became very good friends and when my car was wrecked in '99 he chopped the top and straightened the fenders. His name was Stan Beringhele and all of his friends and I still miss him since his passing. I found a couple of pictures of his 3W taken in the '60s. One with him standing next to his white coupe.
