Everyone remembers seeing their first Hot Rod in town, for me it was a chopped 30-31 Coupe built by Denny Bassett in the early 1960's. I never meet him, just saw the Coupe parked next to Scott's Auto Body in the center of town were he worked after school . Metallic blue with plastic bucket seats, think they were molded kitchen chairs with the legs removed. I never took a photo of it, the memory was burned into my brain at first sight.
I replied to a PM on another car site about a totally different car that was here in town at the same time, and mentioned the Denny Bassett Coupe. Turns out he was friends with the Bassett family and had a photo of the Coupe. For once my memory of the car matches the photo! Wonder were it is now? Bob
