Love those 57's - very futuristic for the time.

    A great time.
Was there all day wearing a mask and pretty much kept to myself.

That car needs to be flawless shiny black. I love those things.

Here's a few traditional styled customs, mild to wild, that I shot at Des Moines. I like hot rods, by my passion is kustoms, so sorry hot rod guys and gals, this is mostly customs. DSCN3145.JPG DSCN3147.JPG DSCN3146.JPG

Really clean shaved 4 dr sedan. Interior not HAMB friendly and the wheels... I couldn't shoot from the normal 3/4 view due to the choice of wheels. You can see a little sliver of them in the last shot ... look away lest your face be turned to stone. DSCN3149.JPG DSCN3151.JPG DSCN3150.JPG

This shoebox Ford had the same problem, thus the frontal shot only. Saw a few street rods with styled S-10 pick-up wheels too. I know, I know, not my ride, but I just don't get it. We started calling them "fudge" wheels, loosely associated with a scene from the movie "A Christmas Story". Ralphie breaks his glasses and the narrarator says "except I didn't say fudge". All I would do to this is run skirts and lower the rear suspension. Kool car. The rear package tray area looks to have dash pieces from a 51 or 52 Oldsmobile. I'm assuming that speaker grille and glove box lids were used, also assume there are a few actual speakers under them. DSCN3174.JPG DSCN3175.JPG DSCN3176.JPG

I suppose these are mostly stock appearing with maybe a little suspension change. DSCN3132.JPG DSCN3133.JPG DSCN3134.JPG DSCN3206.JPG

I went over Thursday in my '62 Ford wagon with some of the Omaha crew and came home Saturday morning. Thought the show on Friday was great. Slightly lower attendance than usual and it seemed people were being respectful and keep a bit of distance. Super happy I ended up going.

Nick I saw you cruising by in the back of the pickup, but never could spot your roadster. Now I know why. Catch you later in Joplin hopefully.

Going to Des Moines for Goodguys has become a tradition. Glad it wasn`t cancelled.

Sorry I missed you guys! I did see Chris' coupe cruise through - very cool.
Looks like the HAMB Drags have been cancelled, unfortunately.
