I like the suspension pictures, maybe a little tech "borrowed" from one another back in the day but no cookie cutters used, all about everyone being allowed to put their own ideas to the test. Great to see true hot rod philosophy preserved!

  4. For anyone who doesn't know about Jimmy Fugel. He was a strong runner back in the day, automotive artist Joel Naprstek did a painting of his original car.

Do you own the track where mini sprinters run at.
Were you related to Al from the Bee Line Automotive in CT.

  12. Yes, the new promoter Brett Dayo put 8 inches of new clay down (that's $60,000 worth) over the off season.
He missed two and a half months of racing at Fonda due to Covid 19

We will be back at Fonda July 4th then July 18

I think the Devils Bowl VT show is this Sunday

We have shows at Malta and The Valley coming soon too.

  14. Unfortunately my camera broke last night as I was repairing my cousin's car. I only got a few on track photos. The hot led on the coil came apart in warm ups, The wire came out of one of the blade connectors. I crimped the the wire in the blade connector to get the car to run. Not a pretty repair but it worked!

I talked to Jimmy Fugel he said he build his current car about 98% to what his original car.

Jimmy Fugel had to some major work to make the feature after a tangle in turn one.

  21. My cousin let me warm up his car!

First time on the track for me, my goal was to get a feel for it and stay out of everyone's way.
As it turned out the whole field had lined up behind me which I was unaware of. As I entered turn 4 I heard in my ear "Going green on 27!" My only thought "OH SHIT!!!
