A friend just sent me some pictures of some of his latest builds.
    He does some very nice work, most all of his stuff is box stock, he doesn't get into modifying except for tire and wheels and he seems to like the big wheels...not a fan..but his paint work and detailing is nice. 56 Ford FD100 Foose (4)~2.jpeg 56 Ford FD100 Foose (12)~2.jpeg 56 Ford FD100 interior (2)~2.jpeg 68 El Camino 3-07-2020 (2).jpeg 68 El Camino 3-07-2020 (6).jpeg 68 El Camino 3-07-2020 (10).jpeg 68 Malibu SS 5-02-2020 (4).jpeg 68 Malibu SS 5-02-2020 (1).jpeg 68 Malibu SS 5-02-2020 (6).jpeg 68 Malibu SS 5-02-2020 (9).jpeg 66 Fairlane GT 3-1-20 (2).jpeg 66 Fairlane GT 3-1-20 (1).jpeg 66 Fairlane GT 3-1-20 (8).jpeg 66 Fairlane GT 3-1-20 (9).jpeg 58 Thunderbird 3-28-20 (2).jpeg 58 Thunderbird 3-28-20 (4).jpeg

I'm amazed and stymied by the level of detail that you fellows come up with.
The tiniest things that a full grown human shouldn't be able to get down to
and you guys accomplish them. I may forget, or neglect, to hit the like button
on occasion but that doesn't mean your work goes unnoticed and isn't appreciated.
Everyone keep posting, I love when Sunday morning rolls around.

Okay, I fudged a bit on this one. It's a slightly refurbished promo I paid a
dollar for. I had to repair the A pillars, then highlighted the interior.
painted the wheels Ford engine gray and managed to keep the chrome centers.

It needs black headers/side exhaust for a street fighter look.

Well now....if you got a big block in that Corvette I could probably help you out with some black headers and side pipes.
I also have a couple of unbuilt Corvette's around that year for parts , I think one is a ZR1 Wide body.
Yours if you want them. 20200705_161951.jpeg 20200705_162005.jpeg 20200705_162031.jpeg

^^ When it rains, it pours. I appreciate the offer, but I bought two Corvette
kits at a garage sale this afternoon and one has the pipes I'd like to use. Thanks
    so much.

  18. It is. I've had better luck in the past with sea salt, but we didn't have any, so this is just plain old iodized salt.

    Thanks.

I know it's not Sunday but I though I would post now as I tend to forget what day it is since I retired:)

It has been so danged hot here in Ohio the last few days I have been fooling around in my little garage hobby room with the A/C on. I have been looking through my old original AMT models from when I was a kid and restoring some of them the best I can. Does any body else find that almost 70 year old eyes and fingers are not as good as they were 55 or 60 years ago? I took a few pictures to share, anybody else have pictures of your old 3in1 builds? 25. I hear you. My 38 year old eyes are not what they were 2 years ago. I bought a pair of reading glasses for model building. Then I started needing them for reading too, so I need a second pair, one for the model room and one for the bedroom.

Love that Lincoln and Chevy wagon.

I guess it is just a sign of the times but I hate to see it happen.
